Description

I designed, measured, sawed, and assembled this lofted bed. I’d like to thank my father for helping me hold up the pieces as we assembled them together as they were very big, heavy, and hard to handle. Since then, I have made a few modifications such as adding shelves and exchanging the wood the best rests on for a larger, more durable, and aesthetically-pleasing one.

Quarantine Dream is the name I chose for my lofted bed because 1) it was born out of a necessity to quarantine in a comfortable place brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic 2) it seemed like the entire situation was a dream and 3) my teenage years had been spent in this small 8 by 8 ft room so being able to upgrade to a full-size bed AND have an office space was fulfilling a dream of mine.
